Tattoo With A Lifetime Validity

Getting a tattoo always existed in some cultures since ancient times. However, it was only about a decade ago that it started coming into the mainstream, and more and more people started getting them made on their body. Some get it done because they think it is a style statement, or is fashionable, while others get it done as a permanent mark of some memory related to a particular thing, event or person. However, life changes every minute, and there is always a possibility that what you might like a lot today may not be your taste a few years later. So the memory that you cherish right now might turn out to be a regret later. Or you might simply get bored of your tattoo. What do you do then?

For the ladies…

Women have always been part of the tattoo tradition. Early cultures tattooed women as much as men, from the Inuit cultures in the far north of America to the tribes of Polynesia. In the last two centuries, tattooed ladies were a popular sight in circuses and freak shows across Europe and America. This demonstrates the divide between the cultures succinctly. In Eastern cultures tattooed women were perfectly acceptable, whereas here in the West, they sadly existed as an oddity, a spectacle.

Hawaiian Tattoos

Hawaiian Tattoos

Tattoos have always been a part of culture for the people from the Pacific islands, especially for the people from Hawaii. Tattoos have been a part of them for many thousand years. They use it as a symbol of celebration, as a mark of their tribe and also for self expression.

Unlike tattoo artists today, the tools used by the tattoo designers in Hawaii were mostly derived from the nature. They used the beak of a bird, claws and also larger bones from the fishes. They might not be the best if they have to use an email marketing software, but if you give them just the beak of a bird they can surely do wonders.

Most of the tattoo designs in the Hawaiian culture were geometrical or symmetrical, which evolved into pictorial shapes of animals. This was mainly due to the European effect. The pictures of animals were also used to express bravery or strength.

To understand the real significance of tattoos in the Hawaiian culture, you will have to understand the root of the word tattoo. The word for tattoo in Hawaiian is uhi, and it means covering. Hierarchy is highly respected in the Hawaiian culture and tattoos in many ways were also a pictorial depiction of the hierarchy a person is under. Women who wear tattoos wear it on their hands, feet, fingers and calves.

Hawaiian men use tattoos as a sign of status and respect. Some designs were exclusively made for the chief of the tribe and his family by highly skilled tattoo designers. The rest of the population get it done from apprentices. In comparison to men, the tattoo design for women were less extensive also because they were limited to just the feet, arms, ears and lips. Most of the tattoo designs in the Hawaiian culture have a much deeper personal meaning, so disliking a tattoo may also mean that you dislike the person and this is something that should be completely avoided while being with a Hawaiian. If you would like to get a very authentic tattoo design, then it’s always better to get it done in Hawaii than elsewhere.

Crafty Tattoos

Crafting is big news at the moment, and has been for a few years. Knitting, sewing, embroidery, paper cutting, jewellery making and crocheting have all had a huge resurgence. You’re probably sat no more than ten feet away from someone who makes their own soap, whether you’re on a train, at work or at home!

A lot of the modern day crafters are also turning their needle or scissor skills into a business, with a boom in handmade items hitting the internet through websites like Etsy or Folksy.

Cover up Tattoo

The reason for getting a tattoo on your body can be various. Some get tattoos to add to their personality, while some get tattoos to remind themselves of a memorable moment or person. But during the course of time sometimes these tattoos can also become a reminder of bitter times; something you would not have thought would happen while you got the tattoo. I recently met a friend while looking for types of office desks London has in offer, who wanted to get a cover up tattoo for a lettering tattoo, which was the name of his ex-wife. There are quite a few methods available today to get rid of the tattoo you don’t want. However, apart from the option of removing the tattoo, you can also get a cover up tattoo.

The Man With The Mah Jong Tattoo

More and more people seem to be getting tattoos based on classic and modern puzzles and games. Just the other day I ran into a guy who had three tattoos on his arms and shoulder. One was a tattoo of a Mah Jong set his mother gave him when he was young, another was of a chess set he got from an ex girlfriend and the third was of a backgammon set he’d bought himself whilst at college.

Bad Tattoos

Bad Tattoos

Tattoos can be a passion, and in some cases it can be an obsession as well. It’s true that everybody has the freedom to do whatever they want with their body, but I guess people should do justice with their creator as well. The reason I say this is because there are some people who would get tattoos on their bodies that would not at all look good. In some cases these tattoos would look scary, and in other cases it would even look simply yuck, it kind of makes you ask ‘why in the world did you do that’. Oh yes, you have the right to do whatever you want with your body just as much as I have the right to express my feelings.

I just don’t understand why people why can’t pickup a design that would be appealing. Why would you want to look bad? In many cases these individuals would be normal good looking human beings who have deteriorated themselves with some ill looking tattoo design.

I would say if you are not sure if you like the tattoo that you want to select, you probably get it printed first and put it as a poster in one of the walls of your room. A good website that can help you do that is www.colour-graphics.co.uk Once you put the poster on your wall, give it at least 2 months time and if you still like it after 2 months, then great, go ahead and wear it and by the way it’s always advisable to ask you real friends or family members for their opinions.

How we got our first Tattoo

How we got our first Tattoo

I and my younger brother have always been passionate about tattoos, but we were scared of disclosing this to our parents, since as per them it was a sin. In our village we used to go to a protestant Church and in the Church it was always taught that our body is the temple of the Living God, so we have to be careful what we do with our bodies. I completely agree to the fact, but at other times I would think that even when it comes to a temple we paint the temple and also use many other things to make it look beautiful, so why can’t we decorate our body for God. I never thought of having some tattoo that would have a violent meaning; I just wanted to have some nice and peaceful looking one. Well that would not be possible as long as we were staying with our parents.

We just had to wait for the time when we would move out of the village for higher studies or for work. And this was one of the reasons why the very first thing we did as soon as we moved out was to find a tattoo artist. Both of us had come to the city as students and money was just enough to survive. Since getting a tattoo was slightly costly for us, my brother started looking for part time construction jobs. I know that now I sound a bit fanatic, but we really wanted to get a tattoo. Finally he did not get a job, but we found an aspiring tattoo artist who was happy to do it for free for us, he said that he wanted to practice his new design. We were so happy but scared as well, we were not sure how good he was, but at the end of the day he did a great job and that’s how we got our first tattoo.

Paw Print Tattoo

Getting a tattoo requires serious consideration, and this includes choosing what design to get. These days you can get any kind or type of tattoo you want in any design. You can also get them placed in almost any location on your body.

Of the many popular designs seen at tattoo shops and even art clubs, the Paw print tattoo is consider one of the more desired ones. The paw print tattoo is a popular design that comes in a myriad of variations to allow people to express their uniqueness and individuality.

Paw print designs can come in different “animals”, but they can also be altered or skewed to create a new design. Adding or removing a “claw”, or adding a “track” of smaller prints are different ways to customize a design. Giving the paw print a fun, personal twist can make the design individual and one of a kind.

Tattoos usually have special meanings, so it would be prudent to research your design’s meaning. For example, some people interpret bear prints as being indicative of one’s sexual orientation.

Where you choose to have the paw print tattoo placed on your body is also an important choice, and one that should be taken into account when you are choosing and personalizing the design. The chest, shoulder, wrist, hip, and ankle are popular spots, and you could have fun with the design depending on the tattoo location.

If you want to see how a tattoo will look before making the commitment to tattoo ink, consider temporary tattoos or henna.

With a web-site that covers absolutely everything that you could ever want to think about – including rules and regulations concerning getting a tattoo done, as well as anything piercing-related – you won’t need to keep ringing them up to get more information. Just one visit to the site will tell you everything you need to know.

the photos are really good and professional, showing you the tattoos almost as if you were right there in the parlour
